Beer School – Official Beer Taster – Exam

This session is a written exam consisting of four beers being tasted and assessed within a one hour limit. The beers will be unmarked and poured from a jug. Students will have approximately 15 minutes per beer to write down as much information on their scoresheets. Students will be graded on their completion and detail of the answers. The scoresheets will focus on five characteristics of the beer:

1. Appearance

2. Aroma

3. Flavour

4. Mouthfeel

5. Overall Enjoyment

Completion of the exam will qualify you as an Official Beer Taster, with a ranked skill level depending on the success of your grades. Students will receive a certificate and a Beer School Official Beer Taster pin/badge


PLEASE NOTE: Purchasing of this product is dependent on your qualification to write the exam. Students need a minimum of six Beer School credits to write the Official Beer Taster exam.
